China Rolls out New Private Pension Scheme

In 2022, China launched the new private pension scheme. This system aims to solve the hidden worry of Chinese people getting old before they get rich, and it is also a reset of the asset structure of residents. Many people in the financial industry pointed out that the policy being rolled out on such a tight schedule shows the determination of the regulators to accelerate the process.

It is estimated that by 2035, the scale of private pension may reach 12 trillion yuan. While the implementation of regulatory policies is accelerating, banks, insurance companies, and fund companies have begun to prepare for competition, trying to win more shares in the this market. At present, in the face of the complex market environment, the official launch of the private pension scheme has important practical significance. People in the financial industry close to the supervisory level candidly stated that the main features of the construction of China’s pension insurance system are an important part of the achievements of Chinese-style development.

New Development Initiative Fuels Village Reboot in Lishui

Sanxi Village is located in Jinyun County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, 38 kilometers away from Jinyun County. In the past, farmers here had extremely low income and lived in poverty. In recent years, Sanxi Village has guided villagers to start businesses, transforming idle farm houses into special restaurants and guesthouses. These efforts have made full use of local natural resources, resulting in huge benefits for individual villagers.

Although these industries have brought income growth to some people, the leading industries in the village are still relatively weak. For rural areas that are located in remote areas and lack resources, there are few industries that can be developed, and farmers can only obtain meager profits from them. They are still exploring to develop more industries and try their best to increase the income of more villagers. At present, Zhejiang is promoting the integration of collective property rights system and corporate governance structure, activating about 800 billion yuan of village collective assets.

As China Moves away from Zero-COVID, the Medical System Faces New Challenges

The “Guidelines for Home Care of Patients Infected with COVID-19” issued on December 7 requires local medical and health institutions to establish a 24-hour on-duty system to respond to inquiries and consultations from residents in a timely manner.

On the 13th, Beijing and many other places released a list of consultation phone numbers, requiring grassroots medical institutions to give reasonable suggestions when receiving calls from the residents in need. Despite this, in the short term, a large number of patients still flooded into fever clinics in hospitals. In this case, the more than 1,700 Internet hospitals that have been built across the country have the opportunity to play an important role. At present, the number of online medical users has exceeded 300 million. A strong, reliable, and accountable primary healthcare system is critical to improving a community’s resilience to disease outbreaks and other health threats. But around the world, they are often the weakest link in community and national responses to the pandemic.

Advantages and Prospects of BeiDou System

Liu Jingnan is China’s academic leader in the field of global satellite navigation system (GNSS). Liu Jingnan recently accepted an interview with a reporter from Caijing, and talked about his unique insight into the satellite navigation system.

From the perspective of the industry, among similar products, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) has more advantages. It has more advantageous functions than other three major satellite navigation systems such as GPS. According to Liu Jingnan, BDS has gradually replaced GPS in China and has been promoted and applied in more than 100 countries internationally. For example, it is used in mobile phones, electronic navigation maps, and freight supervision in many countries. Commercial aerospace is gradually becoming more competitive and innovative, and can be regarded as one of the national strategic technological forces.
