China Eases Mortgage Policies to Prop up Property Market

On September 25, the long-rumored policy of lowering existing mortgage interest rates was officially implemented. Many borrowers told Caijing reporters that their mortgage interest rates have been reduced. The reduction of existing mortgage interest rates is part of the comprehensive real estate financial policy. The objective is to promote stable development of real estate market.

Driven by a series of mortgage policies, real estate sales have improved to a certain extent. But whether it is the new or second-hand housing market, the response to the new rules has been relatively stable. Many experts and housing sales practitioners said that we have to wait for more residents to sell their houses before the market situation further improves. Some scholars said that in the past, personal housing mortgage interest rates were relatively high, and there was even a certain degree of price distortion. The current adjustment will to some extent force the rates to return to normal.

As China’s economy develops rapidly, the wealth of Chinese families has also increased, but the stability of marriage has declined. However, after years of continuous increases, the number of registered divorces began to decline in 2020. People who want a divorce are becoming more cautious. The civil affairs statistics for the fourth quarter of 2022 released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs showed that the number of marriage registrations in 2022 was slightly above 6.8 million, and the number of divorce registrations was 2.1 million.

Why is divorce rate declining? What are the main considerations for both men and women when divorcing? What are the new changes and trends in modern people’s views on marriage compared with those in the past? The marriage rate has hit a new low in the past 37 years. Overall, the decline in divorce registrations may become a long-term trend.

Huawei Rethinks Its Automobile Business Strategy as Its Car-Making Ambitions Face Challenges

Huawei has always been hesitant about its investment strategy in the car-making sector. As a result, the tech giant was once unable to formulate its appropriate business model. The market performance of Huawei’s automotive products has not been as good as expected, which has led to disagreements among the company’s senior management.

Considering these factors, the rumors might be true that Huawei is planning to adjust its automotive business. Huawei will realign its strategic goals for its automotive business.
